A Letter to the World

Dear World:

We, the United States of America, your top quality supplier of the ideals of liberty and democracy, would like to apologize for our 2001-2008 interruption in service. The technical fault that led to this eight-year service outage has been located, and the software responsible was replaced November 4. Early tests of the newly installed program indicate that we are now operating correctly, and we expect it to be fully functional on January 20. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the outage. We look forward to resuming full service and hope to improve in years to come. We thank you for your patience and understanding,

Sincerely,
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Hi SYLVIA
We (the world) don't need the US of A to take all of the responsibility. We would love good communication and a partnership based on trust. That will be fine.

Much like after a car accident, I think we should be entitled to treble damages for our pain and suffering.

Dear United States of America,

Thank you for your letter of January 22, 2009. We are pleased to note that things are back on track after the recent 8 year , continuous tangle with various problems.

All of us are continually facing problems, and learning from them. We too have learned lessons from the last several years, and hope for a more peaceful future.

It would certainly be great if all of us can grow in an environment of mutual help and trust.

We applaud you on the appointment of your new CEO, and wish him the very best. Heard very nice things about him.

Sincerely,

A part of the world.....

P. S. About that person who just went to Texas, its OK. Thats life. We learn. )If we dont learn, we are stupid).....

I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
