There is huge logs washed up to the shore? That small shrub of a forest by the sea was so complete too.

Thanks for reminding me of de La Rochefoucauld. I never read Maxims, but I have about 25 of his quotes on a sheet of paper on my desk. Your desire to choose such appropriate thoughts for us every day makes these thoughtful people transcend time. E.E. Cummings too had some cool poetry.

I thought I saw Maxine on that beach. She doesn't have any clothes on. In blog land I spent some time at Pikes Market and then went crabbing in Oregon then I went on a real hike here in Ohio.Do you get to Pikes Market often?

Thanks for stopping by, Joe, and yes, I think I saw Maxine on that beach, too! As for Pikes Market -- I love it! go every chance I get!

Have a great weekend!

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
