The Original Computer!!

Memory was something you lost with age;
An application was for employment;
A program was a TV show;
A cursor used profanity.

A keyboard was a piano
A web was a spider's home
A virus was the flu
A CD was a bank account

A hard drive was a long trip on the road
A mouse pad was where a mouse lived

And if you had a 3 inch floppy.

You just hoped nobody ever found out!

You always make me smile :)
As for that original computer, Hubby looks at it perplexed; "whats this for, how do you use it?"

There are times when I'd like to go back to the original. But I really am grateful for the internet.

I only wish I could figure out how to send this to my sister.

Good to see you're still chuckling and taking as many of us as you can along for the silliness.

LOL!
I'd send this to my daughter but she wouldn't get it. Oh boy. I had to explain to her why people say "dial" a phone a while back; she wondered why and my jaw just dropped. What different worlds we grew up in!

Thanks for the laugh Sylvia!

What Can I Say?

What Can I Say?
I'm interested in almost everything. Use to like to travel, but it's too expensive now. I take Tai Chi classes, swim, volunteer in a Jump-start program for pre-schoolers. I'm an avid reader and like nearly everyone these days I follow politics avidly. I'm a former teacher and Special Projects Coordinator for a Telecommunications company, Assistant to the President of a Japanese silicon wafer manufacturing company. Am now enjoying retirement -- most of the time. I have two daughters, one son-in-law and two sons scattered all over the country. No grandchildren.
